Are you looking for something extra from your life, a rewarding experience outside normal working hours? The Territorial Army (TA) offers the best of both worlds to people who find the idea of Army life appealing, but who are unable to make a full-time commitment.

The TA forms one quarter of the British Army and trains people from all walks of life to be soldiers in their free time. You'll get unique opportunities to learn a wide range of valuable skills, meet new people and develop your personal fitness.

Now that the TA has been integrated further into the Armed Forces, there are plenty of chances to serve alongside the Regular Army in different theatres of operation around the world, including the Gulf, Bosnia and Afghanistan.
